Expected Benefits from Fucoidan

Weight Control, Reduction of Serum Cholesterol, Reduction of Serum Triglyceride

In order to investigate influences of fucoidan on fats, two groups of Wister/ST mice were bred on an ordinary feed and a fucoidan-mix feed, respectively for 1 month. Their body weights, fat tissue contents, serum cholesterol contents, and serum triglyceride contents were compared.

[1]A significant reduction of body weight can be seen in fucoidan fed mice.

[2]Significant reductions in weight were observed in fat around kidney and especially in epididymis fat of the fucoidan fed mice.

[3][4]Reductions in both LDL (Lower Density Lipoprotein-cholesterol) and TG (TriGlyceride) were observed in fucoidan fed mice.
