Expected Benefits from Fucoidan

Functionality under Exercise Load

Under the theme of “Research on Functionality of Fucoidan Mixture under Exercise Load,” two healthy adult subjects were given a preliminary test using an ergometer where they were given a gradually increasing load for 10 minutes. The temporal blood nature was checked. The results are as follows.

※Blood was drawn before the meal. Both subjects ate the same menu, after which they rested for 2 hours and then had their blood drawn immediately before the start of exercise load.

The blood sugar levels dropped immediately after the application of exercise load, and returned to the level before the application of exercise load in 40 minutes thereafter. As for lactic acid, despite slight individual differences both subjects saw their lactic acid level rise suddenly immediately after the application of exercise load and return to the level before the application of exercise load in around 120 minutes thereafter.

Both adrenaline and noradrenaline rose suddenly after the application of exercise load. After the application of exercise load, they returned to the initial levels over a short period of 20 minutes.

The NK cell activities dropped before the application of exercise load and rose immediately after the application of exercise load. Thereafter, the activity levels declined over time. Twenty minutes immediately after the application of exercise load, the activity levels became and remained lower than when nothing was in the stomach.

As for immune cells, the levels of those other than eosinophils rose immediately after the application of exercise road, returned to the initial levels in 20 to 60 minutes thereafter, and then rose again at the 120-minute point.
