Carcinoma peritonitis developed after the total gastrectomy, rectal stenosis induced by peritoneal dissemination (which had spread to the pouch of Douglas) and Sigmoid colon stenosis

Male in the 50s
Chief Complaint: Problems with defecation and pasting flatus, abdominal distension
Past Medical History: Gastric cancer, total gastrectomy, lymph node dissection, splenectomy, cholecystectomy

Current Medical History:
In January 2004, intestinal obstruction occurred induced by the Schnitzler metastasis, and he was administered Total Parenteral Nutrition(TPN)(a method of getting nutrition intravenously) at another hospital. He received chemotherapy with TS-1 because his condition at the time was to the extent that his doctor needed to consider performing a colostomy, which he had to discontinue because of the side effects from the liver dysfunction, and used Taxotere instead. He visited our clinic in February 2004 to continue medical treatment. I determined that Taxotere was not working on him. After he was provided with sufficient information on fucoidan, he resumed chemotherapy using TS-1, accompanied by Fucoidan Mix AG.

Treatment Outcomes:
After he was administered 4g of Fucoidan Mix AG a day, PHA levels increased to the reference value. His liver started functioning and he was able to eat. An idea of performing a colostomy, which had been considered earlier, was no longer necessary. His condition improved, which was classified as close to CR (complete response).

Gastric cancer and lymph node metastasis

Male in the 80s
Chief Complaint: Epigastralgia
Past Medical History: Not significant

Current medical history:
He visited a nearby hospital complaining of stomachache in May 2004. He was diagnosed with gastric cancer which had spread to the hepatic portal section, which were no longer inoperable. The doctor predicted that his prognosis is 3 months. He visited our clinic seeking a second opinion and information on fucoidan. After a detailed examination, he was diagnosed with gastric cancer accompanied by duodenal invasion and pyloric stenosis. In addition, hilar lymph node metastasis accompanied by an extension of intrahepatic bile duct was also observed. In order to perform treatment without degrading the QOL, he was administered low dose chemotherapy of UFT, which was fewer than half of the regular dosage, at the same time he began taking Fucoidan Mix AG.

Treatment Outcomes:
After starting the administration of UFT and Fucoidan Mix AG, his tumor markers reduced.
In addition, no degrading of his QOL,immune system and no symptoms such as jaundice were observed.

Cardia cancer

Male in the 80s
Chief Complaint: Hematemesis
Past Medical History: Cerebral infarction and angina pectoris

Current medical history:
He visited our clinic complaining of, primarily, Hematemesis in July 2002. A detailed examination showed that he had gastric cardiac carcinoma. He and his family members refused to have surgical procedures, given his old age of 80. He also developed diseases such as cerebral infarction and angina pectoris. For the reasons, he was administered only Fucoidan Mix AG, without using any chemo drug, after the informed consent process.

Treatment Outcomes:
After taking 3.0g of Fucoidan Mix AG per day for two months, the tumor almost disappeared.
